‘Rotarians Easing Problems of Dementia’

Memory boxes are being used more and more to engage people living with memory problems like Dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease because many sufferers have good long term memory but have deficient short term memory which is a cause of frustration and anger. Stimulating memories from long ago is calming and rewarding to the sufferers and Memory boxes can provide this by giving opportunities for conversation and mental and emotional stimulation which can benefit them and their families.

Fashion Show & Fayre Stall Holders

Fayre stall holders provided an all day attraction for visitors. Thankfully under cover and out of the unseasonable cold snowy weather

A two Program show of fashion from Barbara Easton - a real hit with the audiences; the highlight of the Day.

The event raised more than £2000 for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance and the Thames Valley Hospice.

A tribute to Elton John

In aid of “KIDS”

It was a fantastic evening - we enjoyed dinner first and were then treated to The Ultimate Elton John Tribute - Paul Bacon. He went through the whole repertoire of songs we know and love from the real Sir Elton!  It was difficult at times to remember that it was not the real one entertaining us - Paul looks and sounds remarkably like him - even his mannerisms!  He did 2 performances, both of 45 mins and had us dancing in the aisles.

We have raised a substantial amount for KIDS charity whilst having a great evening.

BBC Visit

was a delightful ‘outing’ that sets a benchmark for the future.
